Bajan Tuh De Bone

Wow...one could only wonder what events led to this newborn baby being left to die in a plastic bag by the beach...

Lord have mercy, man! If de mudduh din want de baby, why not jess gi she up fuh adoption?

(of course, da is assuming dat de mudduh intentionally leff she dey, and there was no foul play involved)

A very lucky child, caw I cyan imagine she staying alive fuh too long aftuh being dumped in de bushes like dat.

When I first started reading de story, I was for sure thinking de baby gine end up dead. So, was very relieved to hear de happing ending tuh de story.

Yeah...dah baby was meant tuh live...we just gotta hope that the police kin find out more details. This is a very unusual occurence.

Sadly though, I've heard of similar stories in de USA, over & over. And usually de baby does be dead by time duh find de body

I doan want tuh jump de gun and make assumptions...cause there's always the possibility that there could be alot more to this than just a mudda getting rid of a baby she doan want.

Yuh cud be right...but I'm interested in hearing your reasoning behind that. Are you thinking that it may be a tourist who got pregnant fuh a bajan man but have a husband back home?

She also cuddah carry it and left it at de QEH like a girl did a year or two ago.

Now they're saying that the baby does NOT appear to be caucasian, but they are uncertain as to what race she is.

This is indeed a strange situation. I realize that just because the baby was found on Fitt's Village Beach, doesn't necessarily mean that the mother could be from up Fitt's Village but there were a few "whitish" families and mixed marriage families on the top road of Fitt's village. If the mother was a big woman to begin with, it's possible she could have hidden her pregnancy but Barbados a small place and it's hard to keep secrets. I seriously have doubts about it being a tourist if only because airlines don't allow you to fly once you hit the 8th month mark. Who knows It's an interesting mystery.

Yeah...I could just imagine how rumours and speculation must be running wild in de Fitts Village area. Hopefully somebody who really knows something will speak out. I was think ing that it may not be a bad idea for the police to ask the public to report any occurence where they saw a woman expecting in de last couple weeks, but have not seen the woman with the newborn in the last few days. But knowing how bajans are de police probably wouldn't have to ask.

I know a girl dah happen to twice. From Fitts Village self. Went down dey pon vacation and do dah $#!te. De first time de husband fuhgive she. De second time he tell she she gotta go. I 'in wanta turn de tune o' dis thread, but I believe a woman dat foop pon yuh head once, gine do it again.

Hahahaha...well fuh sure de relationship ain gine be quite de same after de first horn...yuh ain gine fuhget dah atall.

Would de police be looking to find the mother to make her take the child, or face charges?
