Dog rotis

Postby Gearbox on Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:13 am

Years gone by there was a snackette in St. Michael that was accused of selling rotis made from dog meat. Rumour has it that the snackette owner use to catch and kill all the stray dogs in the area and make rotis and sell to the public as beef rotis. Name the snackette owner and name the street where the snackette was located.

Mek sumbody get lockup my foot...you bin livin in de cold too long...dah is wuh wrong wid you. But yu seem to know de answers. The name of the snackette was Rodrick's (or Rodriguez) and it was located on Lakes Folly (very close to Fontabelle). My grandfather lived right next door to that snackette and I ate plenty uh dem rotis when I did a kid.

The first roti I have ever eaten was when I returned to Barbados from the UK. When I got back to the UK ,I heard about these dog rotis, they told me it was the same place in Lakes Folly that I had that roti. By that time it was too late to bring it back up.But I've never touch a roti since.
But have you noticed the scarity of wild dogs in the city and the suburbs in recent times? Velly suspicious.
