I am one who really appreciate leaders who have the balls to tell countries like England and the US to go fack themselves. England and the US always feel that they can impose their will on sovereign countries and tell other leaders how they should run their country. My hat is off to Mugabe and his people.

I'm waiting to hear what that Bush idiot is going have to say about this. They would love to over-throw Mugabe's government by supplying his political opponents with whatever they need to do the job.

Mugabe is an old, worn out warhorse who should have been put out to pasture a long time ago.

These revolutionaries need to realise that they have a very short, useful life in command once the change has come about & that they need to retire with dignity & grace - see Mandela.

Zimbabwe has moved from being the bread basket of southern Africa to it's basket case & while western attitudes & agitation have not helped, the primary cause is the Mugabe regime refusing to grow out of revolution & revenge mode. You simply cannot create a success that way.

The unfortunate thing is that the alternative candidates probably won't be much better.

I would agree that Mugabe took the wrong approach in implementing his land reform policy by chasing away all the white farmers, only to realize that farming was necessary after the economy began to collapse. However, I agree in principle with the land reform policy and transfer of ownership. I'm just weary of the US and England trying to dictate to other countries how they should run their internal affairs. These countries never seem too interested in getting involved when black people suffer at the hands of whites, but when it's the other way around suddenly everybody seems quite alarmed and concern.

Take that Uk and US. China and Russia will not allow you to have your way with Zimbabwe.

...ask yourself how he got and is keeping his power. He may have had the people's best interests at heart at one time, but that is no longer the case. He is one of a group of perfect examples of why no one man should be allowed to have that kind of power for an extended length of time.
