Boss, those are some serious ole time pictures. I would love some Jacks right about now.......soak in lime and salt an stuffed with some green seasoning and pan fried........muh mout waterin.

I find the picture "sea6.jpg" especially interesting. In that picture you can see the old carrier-bike with push-down stand, you can see an old Vespa motorbike, and in the right-hand corner you can see the old Goldilocks icecream van. I luv it...great memories of when I was a lil boy.

Oh GB , thanks , I enjoyed thos pics.
So the first pic with the big able rock yonduh is at Oistins?
The boats in Trafalgar sq, was it hurricane time ? I c the national insurance building is over yonder so
Uh was thinking its most likely in the 70s that the pic was taken. nice pics.

Girl you asked a good question bout dah first picture...I think it is Oistins but still not 100% certain. The one with boats in Trafalgar Square was most likely in the 70s as you said, and I was trying to remember if it was customary for boats to be parked there or not. I'm sure that some of our OLDER members like Waltz, Jock, and BB may be able give you more definite answers. :twisted:

luk lik it cud be Oistin befo muh time, de one wid de in Trafalgar wud hav tuh be in de seventies afta muh time cause we i lef Bdos de NI building wasnt dey, but i aint gine say lik de taxi driver "it wasnt dey dis marnin wen i pass dey".............

I could remember as a little boy when they were 16 for $1...so you might be right cause some of these pics are from long before I was born.

De most I evva see was 40 fuh $1. Duh had summuny dah day dat duh had to gih way some. But often duh was 15 and 20.

i remumbuh one nite muh mother call nuh an' sen muh down de wharf tuh get fish cause it came ova de radiofussion dey were 100 fuh a $1.00 wen i get down dey dey werent but were cheap but i guess dat was tuh get de people out tuh buy dem cause dem boats did get in a lil late....
