Bajan Tuh De Bone

Glad you asked. This morning as I was driving down the street I looked up at a tamarind tree and saw some young tamarinds hanging very low, and the name we use to call those young tamarinds when I was a kid popped right back into my mind...that's when I thought it might make a good trivia question for those who grew up in Bim. Sandy, if you get this one right I gine mek you de next PM of Barbados.

For those who might remember, there is a stage in the ripening of a tamarind when the flesh on the inside is still green but has just separated from the outter brown shell...and that outter brown shell is still a bit soft because the fruit hasn't fully ripen. What did we call the tamarind at that stage??

That's correct...they were known by that name for all bajan youngsters.
