that we now have an American First Family that people can actually identify with? I just watched Michelle Obama being interviewed by Jay Leno and if I got nothing else out of that interview, it was that she is so down to earth and grounded. She speaks from the heart as a wife and mother and, as much as possible, relates to the everywoman. She has no airs and is completely natural. When I think of Laura Bush (and it's actually hard to remember much about her) and how stilted and stiff she was or God Forbid, Nancy Regan who only existed to cultivate the rich and famous, it is truly refreshing to see a First Lady who actually connects with American women.

I agree...and just about everything that the Obamas bring to the White House is quite refreshing. It's always nice to have leaders who don't carry a stuffy ass attitude like if duh mek duh blasted self.
