I remember seeing those buses the first time I was there in about 1972.
They were in town lined up at the old bus depot, by the careenage.
I don't know if they were still in use?
Painted green I do believe, with canvas that rolled down on the side...

You might find 1 or 2 in the area, but they sure don't line the sidewalk like that anymore.

Sandy, those old buses went out of style long ago. The only one of them that I see on the road now belongs to Banks Breweries and painted in their colours...it's being used as a tour bus for tourists.

Hey Waltz, here's a shot from the Bay Street Esplanade as it is today. You'll notice that are now potted plants where the long line of palm trees use to be...

I REMEMBER THOSE BUSES ELITE;S BUSES WERE PAINTED GREEN AND ROCKLEY;S WERE PAINTED YELLOW. GOING TO TOWN WAS FUN IN THOSE BUSES. I SEE THAT THE UNIFORM OF THE POLICE HAS NOT CHANGED OVER THE YEARS. DOE ANYONE HAVE ANY PHOTOS OF THE POLICE IN THE UNIFORM OF THE OLD BRIDGE AND HARBOUR POLICE FROM THE SEVENTIES.
