I doan know who was responsible for writing and proof-reading this editorial article in the advocate, but the spelling and grammar is atrocious.

I cannot blame Thompson for trying to get the illegal\undocumented immigrant situation under control, but he wasn't entirely honest and truthful about the way our Immigration Dept go about finding, apprehending, and sending back Guyanese. He sought to deny almost every allegation reported about the way the situation is handled by Immigration.
Thompson also cleverly side-stepped the accusation that he was targeting Caricom immigrants only by saying that he offered an amnesty to Caricom immigrants, but he didn't offer any to other immigrants. The truth of the matter is that he made no initial reference at all to other illegal immigrants, which could easily be interpreted as meaning that the spotlight is only on Caricom immigrants.
If I can find details of that press conference which took place in Guyana I will post them.
