Welcome to the forum Patchy. Glad to hear of the books you're writing. If you don't mind maybe you cud give us a lil' more background about yuhself.

I remembuh a time when I use tuh eat sodabix and butter wid tea pun a morning and evening.
I remembuh a time when de old mattress I use tuh sleep pun was full uh chinks.
I remembuh a time when I had to use de pit toilet in de yard or shit in a topsy at night.
I remembuh a time when my grandmudda had tuh burn de old kerosene smut lamp at night.

That was life back in de day. It's a blessing to me to come from such humble beginnings. When I tell my little girl about these things she usually has a very bewildered look on her face that makes me laugh.
