That is a very good question Dev. As far as I can remember Chally and Venice only rode in the region...but Patrick has had the opportunity to be based in Canada and has also ridden in some of the biggest races in the US. In 2008 he won his fifth riding title at Woodbine Racetrack and was voted the Sovereign Award for Outstanding Jockey for a record-tying sixth time.

My vote goes to Patrick Husbands...nuff respect to the old maestros Chally and Venice. I remember sitting down with another jockey (Randy Cumberbatch) at the Lucky Horse Shoe watching a Breeder's Cup race that Patrick was riding in, and it was good to hear the admiration that Randy has for Patrick...he said "Patrick was born to ride...when he pun a horse he has perfect balance...he and the horse become like one".

Patrick Husbands leads by far in the current Woodbine jockey standings...enroute to another jockey of the year title.

I know Patrick is better,but I love Papi Richards. He trains all of the Jamaican Jockeys.

I going with Venice.

If Venice had the chance to ride internationally like Patrick I feel he would be just as good if not better.

Too bad they are a generation apart and papi has long retired...it would have been fun to see them go head to head. But as far as I see it, papi was the best in his era, and so is Pat today.

Yeah, In "The Woodbine Mile". Daylight Express won the Sandy Lane Gold Cup here back in March, but is considered an outsider in today's comapany.
