Where is dis?

Have any of you ever visited this place? I understand it is somewhere in the Scotland District area, but I've never seen it before in my driving around.

Well I'm pleased to announce that I located de structure in de picture. I knew it was in the Scotland District area, so when I got into Belleplaine, St. Andrew, I showed a rasta fella de pic and told me dat de structure is down on Long Pond. Now I don't know if any of you ever went by Long Pond, but tuh get there yuh have tuh turn off de East Coast Road and unto a winding dirt\sand trail and follow it for about 200 yards.

The rasta told me that the structure was built by CO Williams some time ago, and it was used for cooking and roasting local food for the tourist on sight seeing tours.

Here are some pics...

Thanks Sandy...next time yuh come down fuh a visit mek sure yuh vist Long Pond...very nice and secluded. It was my first time out there and it felt like I was in a foreign place. And it's quite amazing to know that I've passed de east coast road a million times but never thought to venture down inside that area.

Yes i am told that it is , I spent many hours with my brother and cousins out there as we grew up in this area .
But the bad memories of this place would always be with us as we would stand and watch the white men with shot guns killing the little birds that came to the pond to feed, i am told that they can no longer do this as the local people had as much as they could take..
Gearbox ..you could walk back across the dunes and if the season is in then you could pick some fatporks and sea grapes
then cross the Eastcoast road to the RUMSHOP where my cousin would sell you some cold drinks .
Call yuh when i come downImage Enlarge and Look at the centre of this pic :beach:
